Have your say on leadership training in the food and fibre sector

The Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence is leading a project to develop a food and fibre leadership framework to meet the current and future needs of Aotearoa New Zealand’s food and fibre sector.

Developing pathways for our people in the food and fibre sector to grow and succeed is the key aim of the Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence (FFCoVE) food and fibre leadership development project.

Initial research findings reveals that current leadership training is not being accessed in the sector, and for those that do undertake training that leadership development pathways are often disjointed and unclear.

There is a strong desire to increase collaboration across the sector and to broaden the people skills, perspectives, and strategic thinking of its leaders.

The FFCoVE are now seeking a wide range of perspectives through this survey into the current state of leadership development in the sector. This is your opportunity to share your views on the principles of leadership and modes of training you would expect. Complete the survey here.

Your input with help improve the relevance, accessibility and quality of leadership training for the sector.

Feedback from this survey will directly input into a tailored pathway for those working in the food and fibre sector to step into leadership

Muka Tangata will draw on the findings from the research and survey for future leadership qualification development.
