Earlier this month we attended GroundED – the Groundspread NZ members’ day.

During the day, Muka Tangata Engagement and Partnerships Manager Catherine co-facilitated a session on ‘Developing Your Workforce’, where she was joined by Primary ITO, MITO, and Education Unlimited.

It was a great opportunity to speak about the process of the Nutrient Application micro-credential that we developed last year in collaboration with Hanga-Aro-Rau.

We worked closely with Groundspread NZ to develop the micro-credential, which provides an opportunity for skill recognition for those already in the industry, as well as lifting the visibility of the nutrient-spreading industry as a career pathway.

Kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face hui) like this are integral to our mahi. They give us valuable opportunities to connect and engage with industry and hear directly from those on the ground their needs, challenges, and aspirations for the future of education and training in their industry.
