Muka Tangata to present at the Food and Fibre CoVE Research and Insights Forum 2024

The Muka Tangata team are excited to be presenting at the upcoming Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) Research and Insights Forum 2024 in Wellington next year.

The Food and Fibre CoVE Research and Insights Forum is an annual event to share and discuss ideas and knowledge around vocational education in the food and fibre sector. Our kaimahi attended and presented at the 2023 forum, and this year will be running two sessions.

Session 1. Will be a snapshot on Te Mata Raraunga, our workforce skills data and insights web-platform – how it works, how it is being used, and how it is being kept updated.

Session 2. Will be a workshop on 21st Century Delivery and Assessment held in collaboration with Te Pūkenga, and will discuss the need to have provider programmes that include appropriate delivery models and flexible assessment methods that are relevant for the 21st Century and meet learner and industry needs.

“This is such an important project for the food and fibre sector,” says Lester Hoare, GM Quality Assurance and Enhancement, Muka Tangata. “Better understanding the requirements of our industries and employers around having appropriate delivery and flexible assessment methods will help and signpost providers to develop and deliver programmes that meet both learner and employer skill needs.”

The forum is a great opportunity to learn about, and contribute to the kōrero around, some of the latest thinking and innovation in the vocational education space. We highly encourage you to come along and get involved if you are interested!
