Workforce Development Plans Online Showcase

E ngā mana, e ngā reo, e ngā karanga maha. Nei rā te mihi, nei rā te wairua mākohakoha o Muka Tangata. Nei rā hoki mātou te toro atu te ringa aroha mō tēnei kaupapa hirahira. Nō reira tēnā koutou katoa.

You are invited to our launch of the Muka Tangata 14 industry workforce development plans. We would love you to join us online and bring your questions and feedback.

You will hear about how we have developed the plans and the data, why we put them online, a Māori workforce development plan and our cross-cutting and industry-specific opportunities and roadmap.

The three sessions will cover the same content, so please join at a time that is convenient to you.

The links below will download an invite to your device for you to save to your calendar. The passcode to get into each session is ‘WDPLAUNCH’.

Tuesday 29 August 4.30pm

Wednesday 30 August 12.30pm

Friday 1 September 9am

The plans capture the key workforce and training information about each sector, identify the workforce and skills issues facing the sector, and identify the roadmap of actions that Muka Tangata will take in partnership with industry, iwi and hapū Māori, and education providers to address those issues.

We use these plans as a key mechanism to guide our advice to the Tertiary Education Commission on funding for food and fibre vocational training.

The plans also shape the development of food and fibre qualifications, standards, and micro-credentials.

We look forward to seeing you online soon.
