The Qualifications and Standards, and Quality Assurance and Enhacement teams were pleased to attend the Primary Industry Polytechnic Tutors Association (PIPTA) conference in Cromwell last week, participating in three site visits and presenting to the conference on the second day.

PIPTA are a membership organisation which has been supporting Primary Industry Polytechnic tutors for around 30 years.

GM Qualifications and Standards Craig Langdon and Quality Assurance and Moderation Specialist Lisa Abernethy spoke to mahi that each of their teams is doing, as well as to our new approach to quality assurance. This was well received, with lots of valuable suggestions and insights about how the group could collaborate on future projects.

We’re privileged to have been welcomed to both the 2022 and 2023 national conferences to present and engage with the members. We look forward to building on this close relationship with greater collaboration in the future, and the possibility of regular engagement on a regional basis to form strong communities of practice.
