On this year’s World Oceans Day, Muka Tangata attended the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)’s event on sustainable fishing. They took us on a deep dive into consumer insights, the importance of ocean literacy, and Aotearoa New Zealand’s approach to sustainability.

This was a fantastic opportunity to gain further insight into MSC’s mahi and hear about the importance of sustainable fishing practices.

We’ve been fortunate to have MSC members on the advisory groups for our Seafood qualifications development project-MSC’s first involvement with vocational education development.

We look forward to growing a close working relationship with the MSC over the coming months as we continue the project, and appreciate their valuable input so far.
