Have your say on new Pork skill standards June 30th, 2025 We are reviewing and updating standards for the Pork industry at Level 4. Skill standards will be replacing the current unit standards to future-proof qualification the New Zealand Certificate in Pork Production (Management) (Level 4). Working with industry partners, we have developed seven skill standards at level 4. Skill standard 1 – Manage pig farm biosecurity Skill standard 2 – Implement pig herd health programs Skill standard 3 – Implement pig feeding programs Skill standard 4 – Implement pig reproductive programs Skill standard 5 – Prepare pigs for market Skill standard 6 – Supervise and develop pig farm staff Skill standard 7 – Support pig farm unit or production planning and routine coordination We are now seeking wider industry feedback on the draft skill standards to ensure that we a creating robust and fit for purpose standards.
