Muka Tangata Annual Report 2024-25

We are pleased to share our Annual Report for 2024-25.

It has been a year of achievements that we’re exceptionally proud of, and our kaimahi have continued to deliver high quality outputs that respond to the needs of our industries, training providers, and ākonga.

The report highlights this work, including:

  • Our progress in addressing many of the actions set out in Te Haumako, our Māori Workforce Development Plan
  • Our qualification development projects – Agriculture, Entry Level, Machine Assist Felling, Primary Industry Business Management, Seafood, Wool, and a variety of qualifications reviews
  • Supporting education providers to deliver consistent, industry-ready training across the food and fibre sector through robust assessment and moderation processes
  • Our collaboration across WDCs, and within the wider vocational education sector, including the development of a Food and Fibre Capability Strategy.

As we publish this report, we acknowledge the Muka Tangata council and kaimahi for their steadfast commitment to delivering for the food and fibre sector – not just over the past year, but since our establishment in 2021. Their dedication and passion for the industries we serve has made this work possible.
