Have your say on new Irrigation skill standards (Level 4) September 9th, 2025 We are reviewing and updating standards for the Irrigation industry at Level 4 and Level 5. The Aotearoa New Zealand education system is transitioning from unit standards to skill standards. Working with industry partners, including Irrigation NZ, we have developed five skill standards at Level 4. View the draft skill standards below: Establish irrigation system requirements for commercial use Manage Irrigation Scheduling and Assess Seasonal Efficiency Manage Site-Specific Irrigation Systems Carry out an irrigation system performance assessment Assess, Interpret and report on irrigation system performance Plan an irrigation system performance assessment The pathways map shows how learners could progress through from levels 3-5 in Irrigation: Pathways map. Have your say We are now seeking wider industry feedback on the draft skill standards to ensure that we are creating robust and fit-for-purpose standards.
