Review confirms livestock qualifications meet industry needs July 16th, 2025 In May 2025, two livestock-related qualifications were reviewed and approved following sector consultation. The New Zealand Certificate in Artificial Insemination of Livestock (Level 4) underwent its scheduled five-yearly review. Feedback from the sole provider and industry representatives confirmed the qualification remains fit for purpose, with no significant changes required. To align with upcoming reviews of related unit standards in dairy, equine, and porcine insemination, the next review is set for December 2028. The New Zealand Certificate in Tuberculosis Testing of Livestock (Level 3) with strands in Cattle and Deer was also reviewed. Consultation confirmed it continues to meet industry needs and remains fit for purpose. These reviews confirm that both qualifications continue to meet sector requirements, providing clear pathways for skill development in critical areas of livestock management.
