We worked with the aquaculture industry to build on existing skills frameworks to build a practical tool for the Aquaculture industry to see what kinds of skills different roles in the industry require, how skills might match to different roles, and what skills workers might need to develop to progress.

In their 2024 Workforce Survey, Aquaculture NZ found that industry want to have transparent career pathways and to be able to identify opportunities for professional growth. This tool was developed to help provide more insight into the skills, roles and potential pathways in the industry.
